Beanmeup! develops protein-rich muffins
February 5, 2021Fabafull participates in it research program Beanmeup! , in which 6 SME companies and 4 knowledge institutions (Inholland University of Applied Sciences, Vonk MBO Alkmaar, Amsterdam Green campus of the UvA and Vertify) work together to develop a short chain production of vegetable protein with faba beans as an alternative to imported soy. In addition to the further development of faba bean cultivation, applications for human consumption are being developed. The Beanmeup! program is a three-year REACT-EU program of Kansen voor West. Fabafull will process locally grown faba beans into protein-rich snacks.
